Encinitas Utilities and Partner Agencies

The Utilities Department consists of the San Dieguito Water District (SDWD) and the Wastewater Collection Division.

SDWD provides potable (drinking) water services to the communities of Cardiff, Old Encinitas, Leucadia, and a portion of New Encinitas; other parts of Encinitas are served by the Olivenhain Municipal Water District.

The Wastewater Collection Division provides sewer maintenance and operation services for the Cardiff Sanitary Division and the Encinitas Sanitary Division. Their partner agency is Leucadia Wastewater, which serves much of northern Encinitas.
